Matadero

Ayer pasé por Matadero Madrid. Las ampliaciones parecen seguir su curso, lentamente. Y en la sala Abierto por Obras pude ver una buena muestra de lo que no se debe hacer en arte: mostrar algo totalmente inaccesible, acompañado por un panfleto aclaratorio junto a la puerta, que nadie se molesta en leer. Tengo mis más y mis menos con Arthur Danto, pero estoy de acuerdo con él en una cosa:

<<Standing in the museum, we have to learn what the art means –what it's content is– and why it represents that content as it does. We are external to that art and confront it as art critics or art historians. It has lost the power to communicate on its own. Really, we have no need for that art.>>
